Established in Saint-Geours-de-Maremne in 2022, the cleaning products platform Guialto, born in Nice, is innovating by creating its own products to expand internationally and plans to enlarge its facilities.

It was while driving along the A63 during a summer stay on the Landes coast in 2020 that Gilles Mathis spotted the Atlantisud business park in Saint-Geours-de-Maremne. Founder, along with his sister Christine Mathis, of the professional cleaning products platform Guialto in 2007 in Nice, he immediately got in touch with Satel (Landes Territorial Development and Equipment Company), which manages the land in the area. Plans drawn up in 2020, construction in 2021, and set-up in 2022… the project came to life quickly with a €2 million investment. The Landes opportunity put an end to 15 years of real-estate wandering, from Nice to Biot (Alpes-Maritimes), then to the Var, as the company grew. Over there, land pressure means that premises are very expensive and above all unavailable. He was looking for either an already-built site or land to develop anywhere in France,’ recalls his son, Guillaume Mathis, Head of Industry and CSR, who chose to join the family business after graduating from Sciences Po Paris.
